Yankee Homecoming is an annual 9-day festival that originated in 1958 in 29 New England towns and continues to thrive as a cherished tradition for the Newburyport community and visitors from near and far. Newburyport is proud to be the last remaining city to host this historic tradition. Although the festivities have evolved, the Yankee Homecoming history of reuniting family and friends is still the foundation for this wonderful series of events. Fairway Independent Mortgage and Sweet Paws Rescue sponsor one of the outdoor waterfront music concerts every summer.
We were absolutely delighted to be part of the Step Up for Colleen 5k. A big thank you goes out to everyone who stopped by our table and showed their support. Our hearts are filled with joy and pride knowing that we got to contribute towards something so important and raised money for some wonderful causes.
We had a frightfully good time with our Howl-Ween Costume Contest! Our clients provided many wonderful and creative costumes for their furry friends, making it tough to pick our winners. But we were delighted to award first place with a $250 Gift Card from The Natural Dog in Newburyport, MA, plus an awesome prize basket – while every entry supported Sweet Paws Rescue by Fairway Independent Mortgage, donating $1 per submission. It truly was a paw-fect way to celebrate Halloween!
From the racecourse to the folks we met, it was truly an inspiring experience at Lieutenant Derek Hines Soldiers Assistance 5K. This charity supports Massachusetts’ soldiers and their families in times of need when they’ve suffered serious injuries while defending our country.
What an incredible way to get active and support a noble cause! We all put in some hard work at this spin class for cancer research, which was great for our physical fitness and for honoring those affected.
We spent an inspirational day giving back at Newburyport’s Salvation Army soup kitchen. Connecting with community members and hearing their stories was a moving experience, embracing us with newfound motivation to make this world a better place.
